Arm Bouquet

My Prom is today, and I just picked up my bouquet arm. I expected all the flowers tied with ribbon, but they are in a plastic holder with a large coverage of white tulle wrapped around that ugly, all tied with a ribbon on the outside. The flowers are beautiful but the plastic / mesh is so ugly! If I took that off and tie just the flowers back with tape he collapsed and I have no flowers or should I go for it?

pull the plastic / mesh on the stem while holding the rod. add more ribbon and tie them securely. Congratulations
