Average price of wedding flowers in south Australis? I'm getting married in November 6th 2010 and am trying to find a florist. I got some quotes from 600-1600 and was wondering if anyone knew the average price for a florist for wedding flowers in SA or any of those are really good? I want to:
ALL WHITE teardrop bouquet, bride
Peonies
David Austin Roses
Roses Ecuador
Singapore Lillies
4x Bridesmaid Bouquets
A length of wire dethorned 5 stalks yellow roses tied with white satin bow Ecuador
Ball flower girl on the wrist (Pomerand?)
Even the wedding flowers, white
4x yellow pink wigs
7 x wrist corsages with yellow roses and white lilies in Paris
4 x button holes of yellow roses
and for the reception:
42 yellow roses
Any good ideas?
Now, I can not help you with the quote (I live in QLD SA not) but I can hopefully help you save some money here.
First of all, when is your wedding? You should consider the season when you think of flowers. For example, if you decided to get married in winter, you'll pay much more for you do not read during the summer (because of the growing season), the quality will be reduced and they may not last as long.
2nd. It is said that you want two different types of roses in your bridal bouquet, which is good, but really, unless you have several family members who are floriests, but not see the difference, and you just because you pay them. So, I suggest you stuck to a type of rose. It will not reduce the beauty of your bouquet, just the cost.
3rd. If you are looking for long pink stemed for your bridesmaids, go to a farmers market and buy them yourself! It will save you a lot of money. Satin is pretty cheap and they can be made the day before and refrigerated, or made this morning by someone you trust (perhaps even make a good photo with the girls put their noses together.)
4th. For hair peices, but silk is not real. Real flowers do not last long side of the head and can be damaged during the day.

5e. with the bodice, I would stick to roses, lilies to your theme the bride ... that, and they usually short with all the pressing on someones wrist.
