Long Island Beach Wedding Brides-help!? I wonder what beach of Long Island is the prettiest and most intimate little beach for a wedding? We expect to have our reception in a tent in the garden of my sister in Westhampton.
Any suggestions for caterers? I like Spanish and Mediterranean food.
Did you get married on a beach? What has been your experience?
Also, do you know where I could rent a bamboo arch or chuppah?
My sister is a consultant for flowers and I will help all my flowers.
Why not ask the Westhampton Country Club, if they coordinate weddings on the beach (ceremony only). They can have an event coordinator who has the connections for a chuppah, chairs, etc.
I'm already an East End girl myself, but now live in Florida. Here below some areas actually require you to obtain a permit from the city to have a beach wedding from the parking lot and put up on public beaches become a real problem during the summer months. Most large hotels on the sea can assist in the planning aspect of receptions, and parking. Search or ask a local party planner if you plan to do so. You would not have chosen the "perfect" only place to get married before having ANOTHER showed his wedding on the beach.
