Handcrafted Wedding Invitations

Handcrafted Wedding InvitationsWedding Invitations of the Renaissance?

I intend to have a wedding next year revival, September. I have my dress, the coat of mail is the hand, etc. etc. I want something creative for invitations, but the only thing I am going with scrolls should be sent to the guests. Any other ideas out there for a wedding invitation mideval?

Congratulations =)

Scrolls are perfect for weddings medieval .. coz it is their form of communication during the medieval period. But you can improve this idea - you can burn all four sides of the roll to give an old, faded, medieval effect. This is fine coz I've done before. Then, make sure all your words in the invitation are also medieval .. squeeze in the concept of knights with your marriage, your parents the king and queen, and you are the princess marries the prince, etc. It's fun! I thought of that before!

You can check www.handykane.com. You'll see what I mean. =) Good luck!

I have the impression that you are reflecting a kind of confusion rather than ask a question.
I hope you get what you are looking at the end of the day

Good luck

scrolls or parchment folded with the wax seal (no glue, of course) would fit most on the topic of marriage.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! :)

see if you like any of the links in the sources. Another idea is to find some mini knights in armor and princesses of mail with the rollers. Good luck!

Ahhh yes, we would do it too, but ended up fleeing to a magistrate. Scrolling is an excellent idea, but difficult to email so I would use parchment paper and is hot on the edges and locations throughout the turn slightly brown and use that or use a computer graphic that shows a Roll open to read and to enlarge the page size. Print on parchment. Anyway, do not use a police computer for printing, calligraphy, hand for best effect.

Far from the wording. Something like

Oyez, Oyez
The house of the heir of Yates
Yate Sir Christopher Randolph
and
The house of the daughter of Kentworth,
Lizbeth Lady Mercedes Kentworth
are united by marriage.

Your presence is required to attend this union
the church of Notre Dame
to
Eight O'Clock
on
Seventh day of the seventh month of the year of our Lord two thousand and seven

I want to play word to suit your style but it gives you a general way to say ...

Good luck and congratulations

I would make a proclamation parchment. Get £ 30 or more paper and print on your computer in an English police to the old (this is not standard, but you can download from the internet http://www.1001fonts.com / fonts_overview. ...

then write a proclamation request the honor of their presence at this occasion. Send the letter first and decorated to make it as authentic as possible. Let the ink dry on the invite at least one hour. Then soak the paper in a sturdy, cold tea and let soak for 10 minutes, then dry for one hour on a cookie cooling rack (leave a towel underneath. Once completely dry take a candle and use it to burn the edges of the paper. Then fold in thirds and sealed with your seal monogram. Place in a standard envelope or scroll a standard that has been soaked in tea (beware of the seal), and respond with clear labels printed in the same policy. They would be cheap and easy to do. Moreover, they'll look better than what you can buy.

Good luck!
