Do you avoid artificial flavorings, colorings, and "favors natural?? MSG excitotoxin similar ingredients and are often labeled as "natural flavorings". Aspartame has been linking to neurological disorders and may cause Alzheimer's disease.
In addition, Ben Feingold, a San Francisco allergist, has discovered that some of his patients, children and adults with neurological disorders such as hyperactivity, improved when they stopped eating artificial flavors, artificial colors, and other food ingredients.
U.S. Food and Drug Administration has a web sit that claims "no evidence that food color additives cause hyperactivity or learning disabilities in children, and has been there over a year.
About the only way to avoid these items is to prepare your own food and avoid food and commercial convenience cans, boxes and other packaging. You can try whole fresh foods.
Have you personally to avoid food additives?

I avoid them and I do not eat my pets. We want to keep our liver and kidneys for our old age.
People need to learn how the FDA operates. The FDA is not public health. It is good in concept but in reality the companies control the FDA and is a serious threat to human and animal health in this country, especially considering that the mainstream media is also for companies .
I do everything from scratch at home and my son was just diagnosed with ADHD. I add as a child, but "grew" out of him. His father has ADHD and I do not think it has additives and dyes.
Regarding MSG I like how he brings in flavors of spicy foods and use a lot of salsas. I have not had any harm done to myself but once Alzheimer's disease usually wouldnt appear in someone my age. For aspartame ... because it can have an adverse effect on someone trying to lose weight I want to Stevia
Looking for one side of the coin:
What about "vitamins" of the total cereal production?? Is this what you believe "additives"???
What cyancobalamin (B-12 and vitamin D) in milk sold in the U.S.?? (This is a federal law, BTW ........)
BTW, monosodium "glutamate" is a chain of natural amino acids,
JUST that aspartame is a chain of 2 "CORE (which means they are essential for life)
Aspartame is Phenylyn and alanine, phenylalanine making.
And the new sweetener, Truvia, made from the leaves of stevia plant, contain huge amounts of stevoside and rebaudisoide .......
BTW, what about natural food additives, such as our national obesity problem is caused by sweetening things with HI fructose syrup from corn and soy oil is hydrogenated, then added to our food ....
So where do you draw that fine line «"????

No, I do not avoid them.
artificial flavors, colors should not be grouped in the same category simply because they have the word "artificial" in the title. According to the colors or flavors you mentioned, the ingredients may be completely different and independent. And what are these "other food ingredients?
Much like caffeine and sugar may be hyperactivity and learning disabilities worse, the real problem is that children are raised in. environments parents do not take the time to teach their children and give them the stimulation they need for proper physical and mental health. The parents should stop giving their children junk food so much, but more importantly, they need to give their children mo.
