Our wedding photographer wants to charge $ 800.00 for a small wedding album limited scale!? I think this might be a bit much but im not sure what other photogs would be responsible. In addition, if we decide not to make the album we get the photos on a disk and print them ourselves, what is good even if we paid over 3k for this guy, you think we included something right?
WOW I assume you have already paid this guy and he has already taken the pictures on the way you said you've already paid for it ... And now ... and if it is too late to retreat altogether, I think I would tell him that you want all the images, not only his favorites on the disc and hope you do not sign away the rights of all photos so you can tell him he can not use them for any advertising, display, or use others to promote his business.
When you get the CD, make sure the images are images in full resolution, uncompressed or cut. Next, make four or more copies of the CD-ROM and give one to each set of parents, and put one in your safe. Now, take your CD, copy over and take it to a professional photography store. Ask them if they fit each print or just throw them in? and how much they are printed.
Then decide which photos to print and what sizes you want them in. print them for you, then go buy your own album and mount the photos.
The fact is that $ 800 is a lot of money, and for $ 800 you can make your own album with your photos of photographers in her, and copies of your friends and family photos, and then make Copies of this album for your parents as well, and still have money left over. We did, and who was in the good old days before we can print them at home ... But inkjet prints will not give you the color, detail, and the professional look you want for an album of particular importance as in your life.
Enjoy! and when the album is done, enjoy the art of scrapbooking!
Depending on what you mean by "small scale" is reasonable.
For a professional album to (custom meaning prints, binding, etc.) it costs $ 400-600 between the photographer WHOLESALE. This means making a reasonable profit and cover their overhead (expenses) they need to charge $ 800 +.
Photographers have to support not only of their time while they are at your wedding, but also for their time after marriage in which they edit and finish your photos. It is easy to think, "Wow! They paid $ 3k for a day of eight hours, but it is far from reality.
Taxes, fees to charity, giving deputies and employees, vendors and / or designers, pay for packaged goods client, leaving some business expenses, and a photographer was lucky to come away with 30% in their personal pocket.
Do not try to punish by all means, just trying to provide some clarification on its price (assuming of course they are running a business professional).
Dear Lord, why you can not find a different photographer? It is spendy and thinks highly of himself.
My photographer charged $ 85 for an album of 36 photos. We ended up with two down from $ 170 for both. These are just pictures from a photo shoot for one hour.
This seems incredibly expensive. You should be aware of this before spending on it, in this case, it would have been better to go with someone else.
If you thought it was too expensive, why did you hire? The price should have been discussed before signing any contract.
If you have not signed any contract? Then do not hire the guy.
Check with colleges and universities in your area. Ask them if they were all talented photography students who are interested in earning extra money.
Hire a couple of talented students. It would be pr.
