Sonning FlowersPosted on March 18, 2010. Does this poem reflect the peace and quiet - yes or no answers please? Sunday morning at Sonning YES! If I could use more caps, I would. This poem is absolute beauty, and the turn of the last two lines is the thing which has so long now, I can not get out of my mind. Thank you for writing this poem soulmate. Yes Yes Yes It does so in the sense that it is nature. But there are words like strong and peaceful chimes that ring do for me, especially the last line. Yes, it is a peaceful poem, with a little melancholy, especially expressed in the line "For all too soon, they turn to dust." The last line makes the reader realize the ultimate truth bitter death. Thus, it does not sound peaceful to me. No, it is not quiet, there is plenty of action. Under danger lurks. not:) Yes I love it. It begins with a roar of noise that turns later, alone. Nice read.
