Wedding Cake BubblesPosted on February 9, 2010. Wedding Cake: Fondant Fondant vs n? I'm getting married in early October of next year and I want the cake in ivory with the lightest touch of white piping pretty simple. I want a square cake with 3 levels. I am not particularly soft. In fact a few minutes ago I ate a petifore who had the slightest bit of fondant and sugar on it gave me a headache, it's my kind of pucker your mouth and tasted like a mixture of wax and chalk. In other words it is gross! Can anyone point me in the direction of wedding cakes made with good old ice (the stuff is not whipped)? Images, websites, anything? Is it possible to make a cake with icing that seems smooth as regular basis? No air bubbles or pockets of spreading? I feel the same flux. It's like eating playdough. Here are some sites that can make you a cake without basis! Good luck and congratulations! firstly based congratz second looks better, but the icing can engage in research as a flux, but it will never be the same Are you sure you did not pelletizing on petifore they almost never Based Try this site: http://designmeacake.com/wg1.html Edna is so good at smoothing the buttercream that you have to read the descriptions to tell if the cake is covered in fondant or buttercream.
