Wedding Church ProgramsAdding a personal touch to your wedding

A perfect marriage is not only beautiful, it's a very personal occasion too. It's got carefully selected details that are meaningful to you and your fiance.

Here are some simple ways to add your own subtle, unique touch to your ceremony and reception:

1. Write your own wedding vows. It does not read like poetry, it is important that it comes from your own heart. Print it on a card and keep it handy during the ceremony.

2. Compile a CD with songs that symbolize your relationship or how it evolved. Play this at your desk, or even burn a copy and distribute as souvenirs. Insert a small piece of paper explaining why you chose these songs.

3. Instead of throwing your bouquet, present it to your mother (or a close friend or mentor) during your reception. You can also have an additional package for your spouse for his mother at the same time.

4. Customers often have free time on their hands at their reception. In the center of the table, place several pens and small pieces of paper in a nice basket. Have them write their wishes, prayers, or advice for you and your fiance. Gathering in an album.

5. Most wedding reception programs revolve around the couple: friends make speeches. Do something for the guests. Make a video of you and your fianced talking about the people who taught you what true love means. Mention friends who have shown real loyalty, or family members who made great sacrifices for you. Intersperse your video with their photos. This is your chance to say thank you to all.

6. If you have a friend or family member who has died, his or her part to the occasion by inserting a small photo of your bouquet, or lighting a candle at the ceremony honoring church.

7. If you have ethnic roots, incorporate a marriage ritual of your culture into your ceremony or perform during your reception.

8. Wear a legacy. For example, you can use your grandmother's veil, or wear a locket that belongs to your mother. It is a great way to create a sense of continuity between generations, celebrating your own family, even when you go to start your own.

9. Prepare an audio-video to be played during the last dance of the bride with the father. This may be just a simple installation of childhood photos. A guaranteed tear Jerker!

10. If you have children, help them feel part of the new family by asking them to stand beside you as you say your vows.

11. Add little elements that say something about your relationship. For example, if you're giving away picture frames, insert a poem you wrote or a copy of your marriage vows. If you met at the beach (and prefers not to have a beach themed wedding) incorporate shells into your table centerpiece.

You will find even more ideas to make your ceremony on magic should be in our wedding planning toolkit. Do not be afraid of planning, we help guide you through the creation of a perfect wedding you've always dreamed ...
