Wedding Ideas? I intend to marry next summer at our campsite save. There is a gravel pit (as in The Flintstones Just a wide open space with gravel hills) I thought to give books game while playing as wedding favors and I dont know what else. I do not even know if there really an area with table set for dinner yet because it will more than likely just to be with us all SJC. I try to find more ideas on what I can do.
This looks like a very fun idea outdoor suits you and your husband! I preferred to stay very relaxed .... borrow or rent picnic tables and put them in the perimeter of the area ... You can leave these two as both chairs for the ceremony as well as parking for the reception. You can also check whether the area is suitable for digging a pit for a barbecue or perhaps already grills or pits in place. I go around the theme of Back Yard BBQ. tiki torches make great accents for the lighting of candles in leu and turn right with the theme. citronella candles in tins also come in great scents and colors and will help deter flies and mosquitoes.
In examining the flowers, you can go with wild flowers or tropical flowers that can withstand the heat ... and just keep it simple.
I would keep the costume for the wedding party and casual because of the original site. Sundresses in a pretty solid color for the bridesmaids and khaki and white shirt for the guys.
You can check into renting a tent / awning to go to the main food table and use a main campground / RV service on all foods!
Also, as far as drinks, you can fill large hollow horse or metal buckets with ice and drinks down in a box or bottle or alcholol. They look very good for a special occasion and beat the ice chest red or blue igloo! :)
With regard to "walking in the aisle ... This can be hard on the gravel ... so you can check with a carpet store for a strip of indoor / outdoor carpet that you can deploy .... they come in variety of colors today and should not be that expensive ... and since you really need a narrow band as a runner, it is possible they may be, a remnent left more than one job previousu they sell you really cheap!
Have fun with this ... remember to think outside the box and be as creative and fun as you can!
Congratulations

Sounds like it'll be fun. But before distributing games that I assure you that there are no fire restrictions for this area. I also want to matchbooks laying around if you have children who attend.
If it's a wedding, you really need to have a table set up and serve a meal. You can always make a theme for your BBQ site is a campground. I'm sure you can rent picnic tables or the number of guests you have you could rent two long tables. You can serve traditional BBQ items such as;
Ribs
Chicken
Corn on the cob
Potato salad
Fruit salad
Baked Beans
Hot Dogs
Hamburgers
Macaroni Salad
Also for the drinks you could serve sweet tea and lemonade. Remember - you do not need to serve a kind of meal.
As for favors matchbooks are a good idea, it sort of goes with the theme of the camp. Alo try small bags full of flavor Smores Jelly Beans.
Good luck !!!!!
Forget the games unless your guests are smokers.
Since you have it in a gravel pit, you can make a theme Flintstones, It will be fun and play well with your surroundings.
You can fry the turkey legs, ribs and so all triming.
Please consider doing so during the summer, the stones become very hot and it will be a virtual oven there is no shade. I consider renting a tent.
