Wedding Montage Software

Posted on March 24, 2010.
Wedding Montage SoftwareShould I have a slideshow for my wedding?

A video montage of sound or slide show for your wedding reception is a wonderful way to share their memories with your family and friends during this very important day. The video can be both touching and funny and is a great way to bring people together. It can also serve as a means to recognize many important people in your life.

There are several important guidelines to follow if you want your installation a success. The most important thing is to be brief! I'm sure everyone has been to a wedding where the assembly is gone forever and everyone is bored to tears. As much as your guests love you, they do not want to attend a half-hour of your baby pictures!

A video montage property must be between 8 and 10 minutes, longer, and the guests get bored. If you play rehearsal dinner may be more than everyone else, there will be close friends and family and will be eager to see more.

The second most important thing is to choose a good variety of images that include a large part of your family and friends and special moments of growing up.

If you have a video montage at your wedding, here are the steps you must take:

  • The first thing you should do is to collect between 45 and 90 images in total. 15-30 pictures each of you grow, grow your fiancee, and you as a couple. Select more pictures of you as you grow as a couple. 75 photos in total lots (approximately 10 minutes). If you want shorter it is less fine if you can not cut more is fine too but it is better to keep less than 90 files.
  • Try to choose pictures of landscapes, they work better than the portraits fill the screen. If it is a portrait so it will still work, just black bands around the image.
  • Choose funny pictures. While some may be annoying, the crowd loves it and is fun to make everyone laugh.
  • Select photos in many of you who understand more and more family and friends.
  • If you only have hard copies of the photos many photos in the order you want to do with post it notes stuck to the back. A general start with baby pictures, then work up to date photos, then the same thing for your girlfriend and finally the pictures of you as a couple.
  • If you have digital copies, better still, the file label with the number you want it to be in the assembly.
  • Choose a song to your article, a song for the section of your fiancee, and a song for you all. Songs must be something significant about growing up, friends, family, etc., the songs you love, and something fun or that matches your personality. The last song for you as a couple should be a romantic song for you to get all teary eyes.

Now that you have the pictures and music together, you must decide whether or not to have professional editing done or if you want to try to solve it yourself.

You can use presentation software like PowerPoint and play the video off of a laptop but the end result will be very basic and simple.

With the variety of software applications available and an investment of time, you can produce your own quality video. Probably the most user friendly and faster learning software, to produce professional results, is that iMovie is preinstalled on Macs. Once you've set up your movie, you can burn a DVD to play at the reception.

Just be aware that the production of a video photo montage is very time consuming and you must wait at least 20 hours to complete, after all is said and done. Do not wait until the week before the wedding to start! Much of this time is devoted to scanning hard copies of your photos, if you have all the digital co.
