Can you help me to align the text in Word 2003 for a wedding program? I do a wedding program and I'm working on the part where I want to list the wedding. I do like that ...
Name of the person. . . . . . . . . . Friend of couple
Another person; name. . . . Friend of couple
This person. . . . . . . . . . . . Friend of couple
I can not align with the left and right. When I click on the "justify" button, nothing changes. What am I doing wrong? It looks like crap if both parties are not perfectly vertical. I do not care if the line of dots up or not. The names and titles are important.
If you want to finish all sentences in the same place, like justified text, and if his friends term "couple" is not the only one you use for example: "Parents of the bride etc." you'll need to use a right aligned tab.
The best way is to type your list of names and press the Tab key once to space "friend of the couple, etc. Do not worry at this stage whether the list is a bit awkward as some Names can take up less space than others and spacing tab may be different for some, do not be tempted to press the tab key once more to align them.
When the list is complete, select all.
Click the Format menu and choose Tabs.
Under the tab position "type 5.75 (if your master is in.) or 14.6 (if the master is centimeters).
Under the alignment click "right"
On click OK then Leader 2.
The above measures are approximate, assuming you use the settings page by default. You can click and drag the tab on the rule if you need to change position when you're done, make sure that all text is selected if you do.
Use the TAB key .. It will align. Sometimes it also depends font (Courier New align even if you do not use the TAB key)
Try creating a table 2 columns. The words in each column is always online and the picture will be visible when you type, but select n rows and when you print, they will all be aligned.
